ABOUT US
Formed more than 30 years ago, the Braidwood Folk Music Club has been dedicated to sponsoring and promoting musicians and supporting local and visiting artists. The club encourages community interest in folk and related music through organized concerts and regular Sunday music sessions. The Club also runs a fortnightly Tunes (instrumental) Group and a monthly ‘Big Sing’ session open to all.
Braidwood Folk Music Club is based in the historic NSW Southern Tablelands town of Braidwood on the lands of the Yuin nation. Located approximately 200 kilometres southwest of Sydney the town was first settled by Europeans from the 1820’s. Widespread district gold discoveries commencing in 1851 gave rise to a rich architectural and historic legacy.
